It's time for the Blog Train

This train's theme is Grandma's Quilt. You probably came here from Luv Ewe Designs. And you've come here to get my part. So here it is. You can click on the preview to download.

Gone now

Your next stop on the Blog Train is Digilicious Designs. If you get lost you can go to the Blog Train Blog.

Added on January 3: Just a note to thank all those who left a comment letting me know that the link in the Blog Train Blog to my blog is incorrect. I have notified the designer who runs that blog about the problem. Hopefully she will soon make the correction. Update: the link has been fixed.

Looks like my blog missed Christmas

The blog may have, but I didn't. It's been quite a holiday though. We went to our daughter's for Christmas. The day after we left, my mother was admitted to the hospital. Then my husband got a sinus infection. And I'm tired. But we still had an enjoyable time. We went up to Branson MS and looked around a bit, then spend the afternoon and evening at Silver Dollar City, a theme park in the Ozarks. Not where I expected to be in the freezing cold, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. More lights than I've even seen at Christmas. Parades, a musical rendition of Dicken's A Christmas Carol, and a living Nativity which was definitely not politically correct and was truly wonderful. We bought a few things in the shops and just enjoyed the whole experience.

We are home now. I am going down to the hospital in a little while to see mom, and find out what I can about her condition. I've talked to her on the phone, but she still sounds very congested.

A very belated Merry Christmas to you (not late if you celebrate January 6) and especially a Happy New Year.

I hope so and I hope you will join me at Moo Two Designs for a Christmas Cookie Recipe Exchange. I have been reworking a number of my older kits. I have been reworking, remaking, upgrading, and updating them to meet quality standards and bring them current. When I redo a kit, I add "Remix" on the preview. One of the kits I've redone is a Christmas kit, A Very Plaid Christmas. It is available at Faith Sisters and Moo Two Designs. I love the kit when I first did it, but now it is so much better with new and better elements.

Last I have a freebie for you. I decided to experiment with a monochromatic kit awhile back to see what it would look like. Well, I liked it, but left it sitting on my computer for some time. Now I've decided to give it away. It's a funky little kit in a wonderful red orange, so if you're a lover of orange, this is the kit for you. Or you can mix the elements with other kits you have when you need something red orange. You can click on the preview to download or click here.
